From ranking to shortlist: testing three crypto casinos over a month

A ranking is a starting point. It narrows a crowded market down to a handful of names worth looking at. What it cannot tell you is how a casino fits the way you personally play, so I treat any top list as the start of a short trial of my own.

My method is simple. I pick three sites from the upper part of a ranking that suit what I actually do: mostly slots and a bit of live blackjack, with deposits in BTC and USDT. I ignore any site whose strengths are in areas I do not use, however high it sits.

Week one is about the cashier. I deposit a small, identical amount at each site using the same coin. I note how long each deposit takes to show, whether the minimums match what the site claims, and whether the network options are clearly labelled. Then I withdraw part of it straight away, before playing at all, and time how long it takes to reach my wallet.

Week two is about the games. I play my usual titles at each site with fixed stakes and see whether the lobby is easy to search, whether the games load properly on my phone, and whether the return-to-player figures shown in the game info panels match those the provider publishes.

Week three is support. I ask each site the same two questions by live chat: one about withdrawal limits and one about when verification might be requested. I am not trying to catch anyone out. I want to see whether the answers are direct and match the written terms.

Week four is the bigger withdrawal. I cash out whatever balance is left at each site and compare the experience with week one. A casino that paid a small amount quickly but drags its feet on a larger one tells me something useful.

At the end, I usually keep one site, sometimes two. The interesting part is how often my result differs slightly from the published order. The ranking still did its job. My priorities are simply narrower than the ones a general list has to balance.

I used CCR's rankings as the source for my last round because the list explains what each position is based on, which made it easier to choose three sites that matched my habits. Any ranking that shows its reasoning will work for this method.

The whole trial costs a few small deposits and some patience. It is cheaper than finding out at the first big withdrawal that a site is not right for you.
